Tweet Tweet and Buzz
What a fun card to make! If you have never made a step card and want to try one then this is a great one to start with. With a little careful measuring, 2 cut lines and a few more score lines then this is the result. It fits in a standard c6 envelope and stands wonderfully all by itself. The flowers are hand stamped and coloured in with their stems hand drawn. The centre of each flower is finished with a gem and a gold ribbon tied at the base. Tweet Tweet and Buzz are stamps from Hot off the Press and are accented with colouring pens.
Up Up Up and Away
Hello Crafters!
I have just received my new order of stamps and dies and couldn't wait to get a few cards done with them and go the opportunity to put them to use over the weekend. The stamp set is Celebrate Today sold by Stampin' Up along with the matching coordinating die set. It is a fantastic set and very versatile. The cards I chose to make were based on a shaker card design so the balloon is backed with gold with a layer of acetate over it to keep the sequins inside it. This is a 4x4 card and has a background border of scalloped edges in the same gold as the balloon. The bunting is stamped in yellow and die cut and adhered to the card with 3d foam pads and the look is completed with the stamped name of the recipient.
I then went on to adapt the design and added my lovely monkey stamp in a circle and punched a hole in it to thread some yellow ribbon through. This card was for a 1 year old and so the number 1 is being held by the monkey. A unique take on a 1st birthday card.

Teacher Thank You
With school holidays right around the corner here is a make that will make teachers feel special. Taking my inspiration from the classroom I have incorporated elements of stationary into the card. A little paperclip holds together a ribbon and lined paper, a mock blackboard handwriting strip lays across the card and happy little cherries are stamped on the background giving this card a fun element. A thanks so much stamp and die set add the sentiment and finally it is all finished with 5 little punched cherries scattered across the card.
