Sympathy Card

Here is a very simple sympathy card with a purple and yellow theme. The flower is stamped in yellow with a complimentary purple flower cut and placed in the centre finished off with a matching button and purple thread.

The butterflies have been cut using the Sizzix bigshot and the sentiment again has been cut using the bigshot and stamped in purple with one of my favourite bible verses.

Making a bow using a fork

Here is a handy little tip for you making a bow using a fork.

First grab a fork and your choice of ribbons.

Start weaving your ribbon between the prongs of the fork.

Keep going...

Keep going until your ribbon has made 5 passes on your fork.

Next, take a second piece of ribbon and push it through the middle prong underneath the ribbon passes.

Tie this second piece of ribbon so it gathers all the passes together.

Take some scissors and cut off the ends.

Et voila...a cute little bow.

Choo Choo little monkey on board

Here's a cute little birthday card for a train loving boy. A striking bright green background with a brown trim, a cream overlay that has been trimmed down the side with a scalloped edge and a red and cream ribbon. The train is made from scraps of red, brown and yellow paper with 4 cute red buttons to finish off the wheels. I found a matching star button to decorate and punched little circles out of paint strip cards to use as the steam. The card wouldn't have been complete without the cheeky monkey stamped on cream cardstock placed on the train to say a very happy third birthday to a train loving boy.

Flip Birthday Card

Here is a clever little design. Made on a manly black background the main design element flips round as you open it. It adds a lovely bit of dimension to a standard card shape.

Gift Card Holder
